The Kyokushin Karate Fernando Dojo is currently open to new members
How to Join
You can apply for membership as follows,
Option One: We invite new members to an initial one-to-one training session to introduce Kyokushin Karate to them. We will give you 3 days for this and you can choose a convenient day. Training time is 50 minutes. The fee for this is £7.00. We will email or text you to book a date. Thus, you do not need to pay annual membership or monthly fees and you can decide to get membership after the first training.
Please Email or Text to reserve a date for this. Upon your notification, the first training will be notified to you by text message.
Please Note Children aged 5 to 12 can sign up for the free first-day induction class. This opportunity is available every Thursday from 6.00 pm.
Option Two: You can directly apply for our membership. Accordingly, you can come and start training on the training days.
To get our membership, the relevant application must be completed and the Membership Insurance fee must be paid before the training.
If you think that you need one-to-one training before joining the group class, there is a possibility for that.
For this, please complete the following application form. Adult and children’s online membership applications can be found below.
Procedure
We will have a short interview with new members to find out a little about their background and why they are interested in martial arts. Please bring a form photo ID to confirm your identity (e.g. passport, driving license)
Applicants for membership must submit a document confirming their residency which must be received by you within 30 days. The following documents can be submitted for this purpose:
Accepted documents include utility bills, council tax statements, the UK driving license, bank statements, and government-issued documents.
Monthly fees
From the second month, members must set up a Standing Order for the training fee. To know the membership and monthly fee for children and adults, please see our fee structure below.
Karate protective gears and Uniform
Members must bring shin guards and groin guards (and chest protectors for females). Shin guards must be of the soft cotton variety, hard plastic and leather shin guards are not allowed. If you do not bring protective equipment you may not be permitted to train.
