The new Sempais and Sensei in the SBKR United Kingdom

It was an exciting and challenging test. Sempai Yijun Young, Semapi Daniel Brown, Sempai Sathmi Fernando and Sensei Darren Armstrong have been promoted to their next grades after a grueling five hours grading test held at the Sekai Budo Karate-do Renmei Honbu Dojo. Everyone pushed past the point of exhaustion and persevered. fought an admirable 10 to 20 fights’ each fight was one and half a minute.
Yijun Young started training in Cheng Dojo, China and has been training for five years. He now trains in our dojo and has been training for one year. He successfully passed his Shodan examination and is now officially a Sempai.
Dan Brown became my student in 2013. Since then, he has been an active member and he competed in a few tournaments in the UK. He successfully passed the Shodan examination and is now officially a Sempai.
Sathmi started training in 2005 and since then she continuously trained. She competed in many tournaments in the UK. She is also an assistant instructor in the SBKR Honbu dojo. Sathmi successfully passed her 2nd Dan examination.
Sensei Darren Armstrong is our branch chief for West Midlands. He has been training for nearly 30 years. Sensei successfully passed his 4th Dan examination.
