It is with great pleasure that we invite you and your students to participate in the Kyokushin Cup 2019 – The 6th All UK Open Karate Tournament in Weight Divisions on the 13th April 2019. The event is held at the Arc Gym, Caledonian University, Glasgow, United Kingdom.
The rules will be the International Knock Down standard competition by the rules of International Full-contact Karate-do Kyokushinkaikan , Kyokushin Budo Karate Shakai International.
Fighters will be divided into the following weight classes:
Men Open
Lightweight – Under 70kg
Middleweight – 70 to under 80kg
Heavyweight – Over 80kg
Women Open (2 weight categories)
Under 65 kg
Over 65 kg
Novice men (UK and Ireland competitors only)
Lightweight – Under 70kg
Middleweight – 70 to under 80kg
Heavyweight – Over 80kg
Novice women(UK and Ireland competitors only)
Women (2 weight category)
Under 65 kg
Over 65 kg
Junior’s Kumite Tournament-Age 8-15 years (Five age categories) Male and female
Cadets– Age 16,17 – Male and female.
Veteran division for aged over 45 – Men under 70 kg and Over 70 kg
Veteran division for aged over 45 -Women under 65 kg and Over 65 kg
Kata Tournament held under the following categories
Age 8-10, Age 11-13, Age 14-15 and age 16-17
Over 18- from 10 th kyu up to 1st kyu
Over 18 – from Shodan and above
