Takuma Kouketsu successfully completed the 100-man kumite,26th November 2017

Sensei Takuma Kouketsu successfully completed the 100-man kumite (Hyakunin kumite in Japanese) on November, 26th 2017, He succeeded in winning the World Tournaments Championships in each of 2008,2012 and 2016 and he is one of the few karate-ka to have successfully completed the 100 man kumite. The 100-Man-Kumite is a rare Kyokushin contest, uniquely representative of Sosai Oyama’s powerful legacy and fighting spirit.
Shihan Prasanna Fernando from the United Kingdom was honoured to be selected as one of the 100 fresh opponents who will face the current world champion Takuma Kouketsu- Kyokushin’s ultimate test of the human spirit.

Takuma Kouketsu discovered these qualities at the Kyokushin Karate Hasegawa Dojo in Nagoya. There he found a place radiating with energy and excitement. The dojo training was dynamic, magnetic in its pull. Takuma Kouketsu committed himself wholeheartedly to Kyokushin training, devoting himself fully to the full contact Karate.
