The 1st Edinburgh International Open Kyokushin Karate Tournament was held on Saturday, May 5th 2012. It was at the Portobello Town hall,Edinburgh. This event was open to any Full Contact Karate stylist. The event was categorized according to the weight and was divided into four categories.
Ruihao Chen(Gong-Dojo) won the light weight category 1st place and also he won the “Best technique fighter award” in the Tournament. Krzysztof Maciejczak won the 3rd place of the same category.
The event was organized by IKO Matsushima Scotland branch chief Sensei Mirek Pawlicki, Mr.Masataka Tarahara Consul General of Japan, Polish Consulate of the Scotland, Shihan Klaus Rex 7th Dan , Shihan Roman Kucfir and Sensei Prasanna Fernando took patronage over the Scotland International Karate Tournament.
