2015 Kyokushin Karate International seminar was great success!

The Kyokushin Karate International seminar held at Stirling, UK on 19th, 20th and  21st June 2015, was a great success. Guest instructors were: Hanshi Kazuyuki Hasegawa 9th Dan,Shihan Roel Wildeboer 8th Dan & Sensei Takuma Kouketsu. The Kyokushin Karate Fernando Dojo members and many others especially Sensei Claus Sloth Ahihara Karate from Denmark, Sensei  Kuznetcov Pavel from Kyokushin Karate Russia,Sensei Michael Hoshino from Goju kai Germany, Sempai Suraj Rajanayaka from Kudo Daido-Juku England,Shihan Callum Dick from Gojukai Scotland  who came over especially for this seminar. I personally was massively impressed with these Instructors and training. Great to see you all.

Thank you all for your support in 2015. Very special thanks go to Jonathan Mendoza,Ian Cameron,Michael Hoshino and Thilanga Kumudusena. It is massively appreciated!

The 4th Mas.Oyama Memorial Tournament,Edinburgh 16-05-2015

This past weekend, Sergio and Sathmi from Kyokushin Karate Fernando Dojo participated in a Tournament in Edinburgh and won Sergio Natache won 1st place (junior kumite age under 10) & Sathmi Fernando won Kata Junior 1st place, under 15 kumite 2nd place!! We’re very proud of your accomplishments and look forward to seeing them compete and succeed more. We would like to thanks organizer Sensei Mirek Pawlicki Osu!



KYOKUSHIN CUP 2015 2nd All UK Open Karate Tournament

  2nd-UK-open2015 Osu! Dear Shihan, Sensei, Sempai and friends KYOKUSHIN CUP 2015 – Men’s and Woman’s  Weight Division  Full-Contact Karate Tournament It’s a pleasure to invite you and your students to KYOKUSHIN CUP – Men’s and Woman’s Weight Division Full-Contact Karate Tournament  will take place on Saturday 26th September 2015 at Arc Gym, Caledonian University, Glasgow. The rules will be the International Knock Down standard competition by the rules of International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan. The minimum age for competitors must be over 16 years  or before the day of competition (  (with parental permission for under 18s) and competitors must be at least 10th Kyu grade to be eligible to compete. Fighters will be divided into following weight classes:

Lightweight – Under 70 kg Middleweight – 70 to Under 80 kg Heavyweight – Over 80 kg
Under 65  kg
Over 65  kg
KATA Tournament *There will be two Kata events at the tournament: under 18 and over 18, any grade can participate.The Kata tournament will be judged using coloured flags for AKA and SHIRO, with a minimum score of three out of five. There will be three rounds, the first round will consist of a SHITEI Kata (mandatory)  and the other two rounds will be TOKUI Kata (competitor’s choice).

We are very proud of all of the winners and participants.  We would also like to congratulate Sensei Takuma Koketsu and Sensei Yuu Ito from Kyokushinkaikan Hasegawa Dojo who got a 1st and 3rd places in the All Japan Open Karate Tournament which was held in Shizuoka,Japan in 18,19 April 2015.

U.K Seminar 2015


 We are pleased to inform you that we are hosting another International Karate Seminar this year. We’ve invited the best in the world, with teaching from Saiko-Shihan Kazuyuki Hasegawa, Shihan Roel Wildeboer and Sensei Takuma Koketsu.

 Saiko-Shihan Kazuyuki Hasegawa was Kyokushin All Japan Champion in 1969, as well as one of the best students of Sosai Oyama. He is currently the President of Kyokushinkaikan World SoKyokushin.

 Shihan Roel Wildeboer (7th Dan) has more than 45 Karate experience and has been the champion of the Netherlands several times. He has a great knowledge of Kata, Bunkai, self-defence and Kumite techniques. Shihan Wildeboer is the current representative for SoKyokushin Netherlands and an advisor to World SoKyokushin.

 Sensei Takuma Koketsu(3rd Dan) is one of the top student of Saiko-Shihan Hasegawa, twice World Champion in 2008 and 2012 and several times All-Japan Champion.

 This year the seminar will take place in Stirling, Scotland. Accommodation at Stirling University will be provided and training will take place at the nearby Beaconhurst School Sports Hall. The event including accommodation, breakfast and lunch will cost £145 per person payable by bank transfer, paypal or cheque, this is non-refundable.

 It will be dormitory style with five persons per room. We have 50 places at the University near to the training hall. After the first 50 people we will source additional accommodation but we cannot guarantee it will be as close to the venue. Please book quickly to ensure your place.

 We will hold Kyu and Dan gradings under Saiko-Shihan Kazuyuki Hasegawa, please contact if you are interested.
