Kyokushinkaikan Sokyokushin United Kingdom Kyu and Dan examination were held on 23rd December 2016 at the Honbu dojo, Glasgow. Sempai Chanaka De Silva has been promoted to 2nd Dan Black Belt after a gruelling two hours 50 minutes grading test. He received his Nidan and fought an admirable 20 fights (each fight was one and half minute) The grading session was conducted by Shihan Prasanna Fernando and Sempai Ian Cameron.
Chanaka De Silva has been training Kyokushin Karate with Shihan Prasanna Fernando since 1998 in his native country of Sri Lanka at the age of 11.
